About the Author

Eileen Lubore lives in the magical tropics of Anna Maria Island and is always on the lookout for mermaids as she gets inspired by the sound of crashing waves, tropical breezes and dolphins leaping in the air. 


Eileen's ancestry is Irish, after visiting Ireland she became fascinated by Irish Folklore and the lands magnificent beauty she wanted to bring the two worlds together in a book, hence The Legend of 

The Freckled Finn was born. 


Eileen and her husband, Scott have four children, Gage, Mackenzie, Lucan and Fionnuala, who this book was named after. The family also has four adopted pets, two dogs and two cats. They are often visited by wild birds, egrets, parrots, ospreys and raccoons love to sit on their porch at night. 


About The Book

Long ago, on a remote Irish island simple folks went about their lives unaware that mysterious Mermaids were all around them. These magical mermaids and mermen could even dance on the shore under the full moon. It was on this island that a freckle faced little girl's love for the sea changed her destiny and made her a legend.
